Alternative Treatments Erectile Dysfunction

Before you go down any alternative or as sometimes referred to as naturopathic treatment route, it makes sense to make sure that there isn’t some underlying medical condition that needs to be corrected. As you will see in Step 3: Sources of ED there are many medical conditions that contribute to ED, from cardiovascular to diabetes, neurological diseases, surgical and even from medication taken for other issues. ED is like a portal into your physical health and therefore it is imperative to diagnose and correct these health issues first.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture has been used to treat male sexual problems for centuries, but with no evidence that it works. A 2009 Korean study concluded that “the evidence is insufficient to suggest that acupuncture is an effective intervention for treating ED.” It’s one of those areas of medicine where the patient’s beliefs and expectations may provide a placebo effect, especially where the ED source is psychological.

Hypnosis

Skilled therapists can induce patients into a state of hypnosis, or relaxed state, where the patient is open and susceptible to relevant suggestions. It’s usually used in conjunction with other ED treatments. It has to be uniquely tailored for your specific condition and therefore only available from specialists. If you think this is appropriate for you then you have to visit a specialised therapist. You might enjoy watching the watch but, do you think feeling dozy will show Mr ED the door?
Supplements

Before we explore other possible “herbal” supplements you might be offered it’s worth spending some time on L-Arginine. It is often offered as a supplement for ED.

We will explore later that one of the ingredients for your Dick’s erection is: ‘your body’s nervous system causes the inner lining of your Dick’s blood vessels (known as the endothelium) to release Nitric Oxide, a gas molecule that makes another molecule, cGMP cause the surrounding internal tissue to relax.’

L-Arginine is a precursor to Nitric Oxide and therefore essential. Before you go out and try to buy a truck load take note that L-Arginine is a semi essential amino acid. Amino acids are molecular structures that work together to build proteins in the body, and are vital for normal body function. Semi essential means that most of the time it can be manufactured by the human body, and does not need to be obtained through the diet. Even so, the sources of L-Arginine are many and varied and even if you are a vegetarian you should be able to source adequate L-Arginine from the recommended Viagra Australia food in Step 6. If, for some reason, your diet precludes the recommended food, then some supplementation may be good for you but is only recommended in extreme cases with abnormal Nitric Oxide metabolism because it can cause nausea, gastrointestinal tract discomfort, and diarrhoea and interacts with other medicine. Talk to your Doctor before you consider a supplement.
